I like Katy, But i don't think tha album is going to do ****. She can can as much iTunes sales and airplay as she wants but i don't even think the album with hit 150,000 first week. & it most definitely won't get 150,001 if she doesn't have another "Thinking Of You" on there,so if she wants my coins, California Gurls and Teenage Dream better be tha shittiest songs on tha album
I was thinking the exact same thing. Everybody loves California Gurls but when you think of the pop's hottest stars: Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and even Ke$ha, come to mind before her. We'll see what it does.

No, only her stans would think of her before Katy.
A Leona Lewis stan talking about Britney and Rihanna losing popularity?
Anyway, Britney hasn't lose popularity, and neither has Rihanna, who by the way already has 2 #1 singles this year so far, not to mention she has the biggest airplay hit of 2010 and her entire career.
Im gonna buy the album first week but im from the UK so it doesn't really matter.
I think album sales for TD are too unpredictable at the minute. OOTB was a flop even though it had 2 or 3 hit singles. That said, she's a bigger star now, and CG is huge. As is Teenage dream (the song), so she has 2 hits before the albums release. I think the numbers will be surprising. I just hope the album goes #1 at least, even if sales aren't huge.

I don't necessarily consider it a flop, but an underperformance. But I agree, she has a bigger selling power now, so we'll have to see. (In all honesty, I could care less about her sales, I just want the music)
Yes It Is. And Ke$ha still have a long road to reach Katy's height.
Congrats to Katy! she deserves it!
Ke$ha is about to get her sixth top ten hit. She's also opening for Rihanna, one of the biggest stars in the world not even a year after her first hit. Katy is slaying, but Ke$ha is more talked about.
