I remember that GaGa's label wanted DITD to be the third single from TFM, but GaGa herself wanted Alejandro. She eventually talked it through & got her way.

I'm glad she got her way because Alejandro was a better single choice than DITD would've been.

That was a rumor, which never was confirmed = false.

Alejandro video was a fall for Gaga's standards. It was so strange and I have never loved it. The song is my fav after Poker Face... Anyways - looking forward to this. Singing You & I every day.

I think every song on TFM had single potential.

I was happy with Alejandro though, it was a favourite of mine from the beginning. And I loved the video, it was weird and confusing and dark, there isn't anything else like it around at the moment. The album was about monsters, you had to know there would be a dark video. It made sense to me I guess but I watched it a ton of times until it did.

Besides Teeth, I agree. Every song has single potential, even Speechless.

I mean, I would've loved if DITD was released, but Alejandro was probably the wisest choice her label could make.

IMO Speechless was the best song on TFM, it's subjective though.
And Teeth wouldn't have done well in some countries, but in others it could've been successful.

I think with this new album she needs to release her first single 6 months before the album actually drops because her videos/live performances tend to keep her & the song in the spotlight longer then most artists out here.. And this will also give her more time to release a follow up single without it disrupting her first single chart run..
