After all these years of stanning I still cant even decide my top 5 Britney songs.

If I stick to just singles i can narrow it down to: Gimme More, Everytime, Toxic, 3, Break The Ice

I can never pick favourites.
They change daily depending on what Britney I'm feeling, there are so many.
Dance Britney, Sexy Britney, Revenge Britney, Heartbreak Britney....just too many

It's amazing how underrated Piece of Me was, IMO. One of her best songs & singles, yet it didn't even go top ten on the Hot 100

I sort of think POM should've been the first single from Blackout

That was because of the lack of airplay. It did pretty good on the Digital chart, but it barely managed to go Top 30 on Pop radio.

And thank God it wasn't the 1st single, cause 'Piece Of Me' was the only song that would have a shot at being a successful 2nd single considering everything that was happening.

I think GM and POM were perfect 1st and 2nd single choices for Backout.

Gimme More was a total club dance track and would have failed to climb the charts if it was the second single. Peice Of Me did really well considering it outpeaked/outsold Gimme More in a lot of countries. Peice Of Me had better longevity too which helped the album (a bit).

POM was shunned from pop radio, even though at the time (& even today), it was a perfect fit for radio. Her personal problems stalled it, I guess :-/

If she had released it today, it would be huge.

I totally agree if pom was released today it would smash, MASSIVLEY. Blackout was so ahead of the times.


pom is epic, i'm adding it to my current playlist right now.

Sales-wise Piece Of Me was bigger than Gimme More...

Peak-wise, Gimme More was bigger than Piece Of Me...

I love both songs and I believe they made good choices with Blackout, except BTI...

^ I think BTI would have been a nice 4th single. I wouldn't say it was a completely bad single choice, but with everything happening to Brit at the time releasing another dance track wasn't the best idea. I think "Why Should I Be Sad" would have served as a better 3rd single and gotten some more album sales.

BTI is one of my favourite Britney songs but I think something more radio friendly would have made a better 3rd single

In the Zone: Breathe On Me & Boom Boom
Blackout: Piece of Me & Get Naked (I Got a Plan)
Circus: Amnesia (I know it's a bonus) & Unusual You/Out From under (Can't decide)

I tried to go for a ballad and an up-tempo track from each.
