We're finally here. This is it, the last chance to prove that your fave can be the most versatile artist here on ATRL. This season is a tough competition of the Pop divas, Mariah, Rihanna, and Christina. Who will take the crown and join the ranks of Shakira this season of The Song Game 2? Time for you guys to find out.

JAKE - RIHANNA

Rihanna. When you hear this name, you immediately think of the Pop sensation Rihanna, right? Right. In such little time, 5 years to be exact, she has gone from a cute teenager from the little islands of Barbados to a Pop Culture phenomenom, having already sold over 12 million albums, sold out tours, A-List collaborations, and much more. But that's all because of one thing, and one thing only: the music. Why has Rihanna made so much impact based on her music alone? It's because it's relatable, it's fun, it's great, whatever you call it. She has proved over time that she can be as flexible as a gymnast when it comes to her music, pushing herself to new limits and boundaries with every album. She does have versaitlity, but a lot of haters/casual fans don't see it because they just see her as an un-talented starlet, when in reality she takes her craft and duties as a popstar seriously. I mean, she can do any type of song and do it gracefully. Songs for the clubs, such as Don't Stop The Music and Rude Boy, show off her willingness to have fun. Heartbreak anthems, such as Take A Bow and Unfaithful, can be that song that can define a relationship's fall. Oh, and did I mention that she has an amazing 6 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100? SOS, Umbrella, Take A Bow, Disturbia, Live Your Life and Rude Boy have all garnered massive success in sales, airplay, and pop culture. But sometimes, the best can be overlooked. Russian Roulette, for example, is a haunting ballad comparing the game of russian roulette to the game of love. She also has begun writing her own songs, something that is somewhat unseen in today's Pop world. Sure, she may not have the voice of a lifetime, like Christina or Mariah have, but what she lacks in that department is made up for in her impressive video catalogue and performances. But I can only say so much as to why she should win The Song Game 2, so hopefully I've persuaded you to think twice about the girl that was once labeled a one trick pony.

SATELLITES - CHRISTINA AGUILERA

There is no doubt that Christina Aguilera has talent. She is one of the most talented artists of the last decade. She has great natural range and pitch. She is also a visionary with lyrics and rhythm. However, what makes her a great artist is that she is confident, assured, and doesn't conform with what's cool or hip. She has always been herself and doesn't make excuses for anybody. Her new album is so mature and thoughtful. She really expresses who she is and that makes it very identifiable for people. She has such a wide variety of music that it is entertaining to listen to the whole CD, not just a few choice songs. Nowadays, when listening to musician's albums, each song is just a small variable different from the last. Christina however, is very versatile and has a different song for every mood you can be in. Christina has always been talented, but the new, mature, Christina is a true artist with unlimited potential and that's why I think she should win the song game.

You know, Mariah Carey was the first artist I've ever loved. Growing up, her music touched me in so many different ways. Her amazing singing is what really got to me. I just couldn't believe that someone could sing the way that she did. Mariah has had a long twenty years in the music business and no one can deny that she has talent. That talent made her the most successful artist of the 1990s and achieve the most successful song of the 2000s. Unlike some of the recycled and terrible pop musicians of today, Mariah produces and writes her own music, which has become legendary because of how great they are.

Early in her career, it was strictly ballads. She has given us some amazing ballads like "Vision of Love", "I Don't Wanna Cry", and especially "Hero", which anybody in the world can relate to. Then, Mariah decided to get more versatile and create some amazing upbeat songs like "Dreamlover", "Fantasy", and "Honey". After her divorce with Tommy Mottola, Mariah showed a different side of herself starting with the music video for "Honey". A more confident and sexual women who only evolved with the times. As the new millenium started, it seemed that the public forgot about her amazing success and seemed to only concentrate on her personal life. The TRL incident, the breakdown on her website, and things got worse when her album bombed and her movie career sank. It was during this time that I discovered Mariah Carey. I listened to her albums thinking that she was the best singer in the world, and my mother told me that her career was over. I just didn't want to believe that this incredibly talented woman is now a laughing stock. Fast forward to 2005, and Mariah Carey gave us one of the biggest career comebacks in the history of the music business. "The Emanicpation of Mimi" cemented her status as a legend, and people were finally respecting the woman that she was again.

Overall, Mariah Carey has had many ups and downs in her long 20 year career, but that hasn't stopped her from being one of the most respected pop singers ever. I am not denying that Rihanna and Christina Aguilera aren't talented, but in terms of success, talent, and longevity, Mariah Carey just takes the cake. Vote for a legend. Vote for Mariah Carey.
