Heartbreak Britney is my fave.
I usually listen to these songs when I'm in that sort of mood, though a lot of them only really relate to heartbreak in my mind.
Born to Make You Happy
It's a pretty romantic message, but I think lines like "I don't know how to live without your love" are pretty heartbreaking. I listened to it when a relationship I was in ended and I was still harboring a lot of one-sided affection for someone.
From the Bottom of My Broken Heart
I'll Never Stop Loving You
Same sort of situation as with BTMYH. It's not really a sad song, but it's horribly depressing to listen to at the end of a relationship when your feelings for someone haven't entirely died.
Where Are You Now
When I Found You
Again, just an incredibly romantic song that I twisted around and listened to a lot at the end of the only serious relationship I've had. I'm such a mess.
Everytime
Shadow
Out From Under

Shocked "I Run Away" and "Unusual You" aren't there, those two are great heartbreaking ballads. I sometimes find them depressing and sometimes they are my feel-good songs.
"Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know" is great as well.
Oh, also, even though it's not a heartbreaking song, I always loved and connected to "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" even though I'm a guy . The message of the song, about that transitional phase of life, is amazing.

Attitude-wise, maybe; lyrically, it doesn't sound "Britney" at all.

That's exactly what makes me think of Britney.
She is THAT cheesy and we all adore her for that. Only our Brit-Brit could get away with such lyrics.

I totally understand what you're saying. That songs speaks to me and gives me reassurance that I'll find some sort of path in my life and figure things out.

It's Kristen not Kirsten and I'm sorry, but Do Somethin' is horrible and that will never change in my mind.

One of her best work, so underrated around here, while people love "Do Somethin'".

I love INAG and Do Somethin' but Shh Duca. You're the one who prefers KTL to POM.
That is always gonna come back to haunt you

That won't used in any argument again.
I don't hate none of the queen's song, but I never fully got into "Do Somethin'" for some reason, I do like it a bit though. They should have released "I've Just Begun" instead.
I'm Not A Girl
I watched the video for like 10 times today, that version without the "Crossroads" scenes.
EPIC

Unusual You is about falling in love and finding the right one not about heartbreak.

The song is very depressing and is also about being let down in love too many times and not believing that the right person for you exists. It's like a heartbroken admission of vulnerability.
It can be taken both ways.

IKR?
NAG is ok, btw. It's just that, along with 'Boys' and a few others, it is one of those songs I couldn't get myself into singing in the shower ( ) - for obvious reasons - so it annoys me a little bit.
The melody is great though, and Britney looks STUNNING in the video.

I really loved Not a Girl when I was younger, it got me through tough times then but me and that song have kind of had our time. I still love it, it's no longer a fave though.
