Gaga stans in this thread please shut the **** up? Why are fans of certain artists always pressed over the next new thing coming up? Gaga stans hate Ke$ha the same way that Britney stans hate Gaga, and for all the same reasons. You can try to make light of her success and pretend she's irrelevant but it doesn't change the FACTS. She's successful whether you like or not.
Agree with this x1000000000000
Although I'm a HUGE Gaga stan and I like Ke$ha, but yeah, I get your point
Again, nobody is saying she's irrelevant. I'm quite aware that she's there. Hell, a few songs are quite catchy, I admit. The point is that Ke$ha is acting like she belongs in the category with other respected artists, like Madonna or Beyonce or Britney Spears. You do not become a respected artist with one #1 hit. Yes she has other top 10 singles, but a lot of other artists do too. She attributes it all to her "handwork" but little to the producers and her fans. She needs a longer career and more serious music in order to be respected.
I really don't like comparing, but the difference between them and her is that she comes off as a complete moron. There isn't much intelligence behind her interviews. Everything comes off awkward.
She's an artist but some people missed it for a replica of the earlier classics or some visual extravagance. Everything is art. It's just on the matter of appreciation. By the time we reach 2050, I bet the kids in the future would be loathing their new found genre and would be indulging in masterpieces of today.

Honestly, I don't like the girl, and I wonder why she's expecting respect when she's still fairly new and only seems to all about wild, party songs. Though I may be wrong.
iI think she can last longer if she can keep up with current fades. What I mean by that is unless she makes something that definitely seperates her from the rest of the crew (like Xtina and her voice) then she'll just have to remake herself again and again...and again to stay hot. I dunno, but I think a lot of artists today are like this.
One thing I can recommend: lose the cockiness. Her words in this interview just reaked of it, and one number one hit (doesn't she just have one, alone, no collaborations?) and your freshman album topping the charts doesn't mean you're the queen of the world.
I think the mentioning of her #1 records were simply there to support the fact she's working hard, and not just going to drop off the face of relevancy like a lot of people thought she would after "TiK ToK".
I like this article because it shows Ke$ha believes in herself and that's always a good indication towards a healthy career. I think a lot of people jump the gun with her and assume she's all about this era's image, when she's only 3 (Starting on 4) singles in. People are too harsh too quickly when in comes to Ke$ha.
I personally think she'll be around for quite some time, because she is a talented writer and singer, much to many people's disbelief.
"People will start to respect me as a writer," she said. "Look at the charts, honey. ... As annoying as you think I am, I'm not going anywhere, so you might as well get used to it."
Time, and the public, will be the deciding factors as to whether or not you're going anywhere, HONEY.
^I think she will comeback with a new image with her second album
And that's the problem, because she has created her own image as a drunk-party-girl-with-glitters-all-over-her-face.
She delivers catchy songs, but i don't know what's going to happen if she is going to change her image.
