This is NON Commercial.

jeez calm down, why are you acting like that....
all i said that TE was non commercial compared to "goodies"
and i also agree that "rated r" was non commercial
compared to "good gone bad" because it was such
a dramatic change in sounds for them

I think Rihanna's gonna have some troubles in the future, but at the end she'll be fine. As I've said before she's never been an album person, so even with all the buzz Rated R was getting it wan't going to sell more than 240K first week (personally I think it underperformed because of Russian Roulette the first single.) , so who knows what Rihanna's next album does ( I hope at least 200k).

It's 2010, I don't think we're going to see people have major success then TRULY fade away...it's not even over for Xtina, she just waited too long to return, and launched the wrong lead single - she'll come back with a better attempt. Let's not act like artists fail all the time, Mariah has failed before...but she came back with the Emancipation and was relevant again....just as she failed with Memoirs, she'll be back again.
I don't think any of these ladies will have trouble staying relevant...ultimately it comes down to how they manage themselves.
"And if Britney Spears were to return tomorrow with a new album, where would she fit in?"
Does this writer not know that Britney's '3' just went number 1 a few months ago. x_x
"Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry, a few years from now, only one of them probably will still be invading the charts on a regular basis."
I think Lady GaGa, Miley (if she doesn't take that long break from music that she wants to), and Katy have lasting potential.....Ke$ha on the other hand will be between 27-30 in a few years. Her party all the time/trashy girl appeal wont last forever, she needs to evolve to stay relevant.

Lol yeah. P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, and Beyonce all have secure spots, but they don't know if Britney will? DEAD.
When will people realize the power of Britney? It's been over a ****ing decade.

so you should never count somebody out especially not ciara since
"ride" can still be a big hit if it cross

was such a huge hit around the world more than it was in the US...

Lol. Using Mariah's flop/comeback analogy doesn't work with Ciara. If she even manages to sell 300,000 that could at least be labeled a comeback from her last era but with the way things are going now, it's looking like she could very well perform even worse.

LSM was a "hit" because of Justin Timberlake. Sorry to break it to ya, honey.

With the success ride is getting, it looks like her next album will fail harder than Bionic

That the next album will probably perform worse than Fantasy Ride.

The thing about Britney, Miley, and Ke$ha is they are all gonna be extremely weird when their older.
Britney always had this ****ty vibe, and she is an intense dancer, but shes not gonna be like that in 5 years, and I don't know how shes gonna be 35 and still not manage to sing on her albums or live.
Miley Cyrus is not gonna be relevant when shes in her late twenties. Shes only famous because of her age, and Hannah Montana.
Ke$ha set up this whole dirty, trash ***** image, and when shes 30, its gonna be weird as ****.
Rihanna is always evolving, and was very mature at 21, so I'm sure she'll be fine at 30. Beyonce is fine at 29, so I can see her becoming a Whitney Houston type (without all the drugs). And Gaga could be like a Madonna type woman when she's older.

Yeah. Theres no way a single charting in the 70's, and a singer returning from a hard flop will be able to sell anything more than 40k in her first week, in this day and age. Her only hope is that she releases a smash and the album can stay on the charts enough to maybe go gold.
