but it is an iconic performance just because of the whole Britney breakdown craziness at that time
It mite be bad for some people but yesh this performance is very iconic. It mite be for the wrong reasong but this is one of the most talked about performances of the past years.
Oh and I thought she looked hot when I watched it live. She had a couple unflattering shots but I still don't get all the complaints about her body that night,

Well we know it's not a great performance. I think it's more people aren't as dramatic, and we've seen worse performances, so some people don't see it as "horrible"/"terrible" as it was made.
I have no clue why people said it was such a disaster...it really was not even that bad. ....she was a bit stiff in places, but that was it. Britney's VMA performance is wayyyy better than Ke$ha on SNL.

I'm still whoring it and I actually think it was a great single choice, but it was a really bad timing, it should have been the final single from "Blackout", it would have went top 20 at least, I just know it.
