That's great that it did, but I didn't mention it. A Madonna-less version was spun on Q100 here in Atlanta. I can't tell you if they ripped or etc as it was 7 years ago, but I remember them hyping it after the performing and playing it. I know the official single wasn't released til October. That doesn't change the fact the song was promoted and hyped in September.
I guess your radio station was playing audio of the performance? That's weird cause I've never heard a radio station do that before, but if you say so!
And the only place the song was promoted before the official version of the song leaked was at that NFL kickoff. So I mean, you can't really say it was being promoted and hyped in September.
"Gimme More" would have had the same as Britney/ITZ but they moved Blackout to October.
Actually, 'Gimme More' debuted in the very end of August. That said:
2007
GM - August
Blackout - October
So... Two months as well.
And since you consider 'MATM' as a September release - although the official Madonna collab version didn't debut until early October, you can't deny what I said unless you're stupid. Are you?

Since 2009, all categories, but VOTY became fan-voted...
Okay, didn't know that I stopped watching the VMA's after Britney made her appearance in 2008. I will forever hate that Award Show because of the 2007 VMA's.

I don't really remember. They talked about the NFL performance, and played the track a couple times. They weren't heavily spinning it, but only a few times I heard before they stopped...
The special performance at Palms Springs was another event where she hyping the single and In The Zone. Yes, just a club appearance, but it got media press. And SNL/TRL before the official release on Oct. 20th. All Madonna-less.
I don't know why you're being so hard headed. Point is, we heard the song and it was performed more than once in September, and more in early October.

I really like the Gimme More performance
Haters paint it out as the worst performance ever...
Honestly, we've seen several artists doing worse than that

Ugh, why are you bitchy all the time? I actually agree with what you said, and it supports my point even more. I just rounded "GM" premiere to September since it didn't premiere here until August 30th. God, "Hey, how are you doing?" MUCH.
And I never considered "MATM" an "official release" in September. If you've been paying attention, I've just been saying September is when it premiered and she performed another time and it was highly publicized in September. You can't ignore that. It's like saying there was NO hype over the song or we never heard the song at all prior to the October 20th release.

Who said it only premiered on October 20th? I even said it had an early October release, DUH.
Anyhow, I win, you lose... Once again. Oh, the routine can be so tiring sometimes.

I don't really count that because it wasn't aired on TV (in it's entirety).

SNL was performed in October after the official Madonna version was available for streaming online. TRL happened in November right before ITZ was out, actually if my memory serves me right she performed it on the day of the album release.

I think I just felt like arguing I really am RIGHT though

I have to respectfully disagree Vini. That was so painful for me to watch her perform Gimme More at the 2007 VMAs. I haven't looked at the performance again since that very night it first was performed. Her eyes and movement were dead/lost and I just felt so bad for her....like I just wanted to her or something. I do blame MTV for using Britney as their marketing cow to pull in the major ratings after they had seen her rehearse beforehand and new that she wasn't ready for a comeback. Yet, they were pimped her out like it was going to be her most epic VMA performance yet.
