Wikipedia says he wanted Kidman. And considered Theron, Moore, Stone, Cotillard, Lane, Carice van Houten. And thinks the only person talented enough who would've been willing is Jennifer Jason Leigh but she didn't have drawing power.

I had a dream last night both Ryan and Emma won at SAG. It will be a kii if Ryan suddenly came out of nowhere and snatched that Oscar from Affleck It's like Redmayne snatching that Oscar from Keaton

Theron would've been better than most actresses in most roles.

I need them to nominate "Try Everything" just so we get that performance from legend Shakira.

Thank God all of them refused playing that role. None of them would come close to what Huppert did in Elle, she is beyond amazing in the movie. And an American version would not be as thought provoking as the one we have.

So Emily is nominated by the two groups that actually vote on Oscars and missed on Globes. That is interesting. I wonder if she can pull a surprise nomination. Both Ruth and Annette are over at this point, missing both SAG and BAFTA.
So happy Aaron Taylor-Johnson is happening
