It's weird that Mario Kart 8 will be seen as an "oh cool" title for the Switch when Nintendo could have just saved themselves the trouble and made a whole new game as 9 and actually given people a reason to buy the console. I wish Nintendo didn't take so long to do things, this launch wouldn't feel so premature if they didn't.

I don't understand why Reggie isn't doing a NA version of the presentation. And for the Europe guy, whose name I forgot, doing the Europe one.

A lot of people will be watching this most likely since it's the first real information regarding a new console and having fluent English would be so much more easier to watch compared to the translation over the top that they're going for

The presentation is a singular event, which is why it is in Japanese and subbed/dubbed everywhere else. Less people involved, less chances for leaks, and we know they're being super secretive about this.

Treehouse is the live and western-catered event, like ten hours later.
