In this streaming age, artists should stop thinking about earning money thru album sales. Rather they should cover that up from tours. Having longevity on charts is more important.

I've said it before but I have a hunch he does slightly worse on Spotify this era. Most pop/adult-pop artists are now because of the strong trend towards Urban.

Why? "Having longevity on charts" doesn't get you the paychecks like "earning money thru album sales" does.
It's not like most people ever look at charts.
