@Gangsta4alife
Did you even watch her video?
Ain't no rotting meat on the floor. There was simply feathers and blood. See, some of y'all speak on **** y'all ain't even know about. Atheists want to destroy religion yet know nothing of it. At least people like Avril and others constantly read religious texts in order to break down why they're flawed.
The same cultural relativity could say that, if Azealia also ate the chicken, she was far more ethical than most meat-eaters, since she used every part of the chicken, ie: its meat, its blood, etc. Sure, you may not agree for one of the usage of its parts (blood for her spiritual practices), but that doesn't negate she used it.
Again, the human body does not need meat.
It doesn't matter which is more selfish, since that implicates both acts are selfish.
One who does not eat meat could objectively feel both as selfish acts.
And no, your argument is not nuanced. You can get the very same nutrition elsewhere, so no, in the framework of selfishness, eating meat is an innately selfish act.
It's not even defending her.
I'm simply deconstructing the notion that "at least there's a reason to eat meat!!"
Like.. no lmao. You can do as you please, but there's just as much objective reasoning (science-based at that!) to suggest the human body does not need meat, allowing people to define eating it as innately selfish.
That's why I, personally, am not shocked and over-the-top in seeing her kill the chicken. People kill animals every day. Shocker - humans do something for selfish purposes and are destroying our world. Should they stop? Yeah, but I'm not 'more' botheed watching someone rub an animal's blood on walls than if they simply eat one cause I know just what happens to prepare and package meat and make it into an industry in most of the world.
