apparently NoJ is the one to blame for Europe not getting it as a launch title, or that's what journalists are hearing/saying

I can't wait for next week! I haven't been following most of the rumors since there are so many, so I'm hyped to see what the Switch will give us!

One of the rumors I know of that I hope is true is the Mother 3 one. That was such a good game that I never got to finish because my old computer crashed.

Game-wise, It'll probably be Mario, Zelda, and the obvious third-parties, so my expectations are in check.

I'm very interested in seeing the console in action and stuff. I don't know much about the tech side, so all of these rumors about it's power and stuff haven't really meant much to me. I also like that this Direct will be live, it'll work better for this announcement than a prerecorded direct.

And question: So the actual announcement is apparently on Jan 12th at 8pm EST, and then 9:30am the following day is the Treehouse demonstration?

Actually I think everyone's expectations are shockingly low at this point. People are excited but that's to be expected with a new home console announcement.

Honestly I wasn't even mad about the Nintendo Directs until they started forfeiting their ****ing E3 presentations (aka THE ****ing presentationsOTY) in favour of some cheesy, anticlimactic, pre-recorded turds. It feels both lazy + apathetic to the fans.

I'm excited, but weary. If Nintendo loses 3rd part support AGAIN...I don't know whats going to happen. Probably a Switch Plus/XL or something...

They should have a strong launch, I just hope GP gets the switch and it doesn't end up another Wii U. I think the switch can easily get the JP market.

I thought Zelda was meant to be coming in summer, not at launch?

But I mean the (GBC), GCN, Wii, and 3DS all launched without a Mario game. The Wii U and GBA are the only Nintendo consoles this century to debut with a new Mario game, not to mention all the NDS got was a cheap Mario 64 remake. I'm honestly not expecting a mainstream Mario game until later this year.
