Did Rihanna ever take singing lessons? I feel like she needs to work on her technique. LOTB performances every 3 days during the tour must've destroyed her chords. That song doesn't even let her breathe.
Yeah she did. After she got signed she had a coach, Ne-Yo acted as a temp vocal coach too, and she had a tour vocal coach during LOUD.
Her voice is way stronger now. So whatever she's doing is working. In performances her mishap is breathe control while dancing, she has to build up a stronger stamina. But we all know when Rih just stands in front of a mic and sings a balled she kills it.

I'd love for her to take lessons in Operatic singing.
She uses a coach during tours/before performances, for rehearsals and stuff, but I think it would be great for her to just take like 3 months where she isn't performing and/or recording, and work with a coach several times a week to improve her technique, breathing, etc. Ideally she'd also work with a choreographer and improve her general movement and stamina, but yeah, not very likely.
Rihanna extends her lead for the most RIAA digital single certifications.
Four of her singles received new awards in December.
“Diamonds” was certified up to 6x platinum (6 million US units), while “Needed Me” reached 4x platinum (4 million).
“FourFiveSeconds” meanwhile ascended to 3x platinum (3 million US units). “ANTI” single “Kiss It Better,” which was not certified prior to December, was elevated to platinum status (1 million).
Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

Well, yeah, but there isn't evidence to suggest she does regularly either. Plus, I think we just like to keep our expectations low
I just don't think it's possible. She def had coaching between the end of DWT and the premiere of FFS. Her voice has grown from album to album even when they were yearly. The growth she's experienced seems kinda impossible if she was only getting coached for performances or tours. I thought it was obvious that she works with someone consistently but I guess not?
