I just watched Ex Machina last week and it was amazing so now I'm optimistic about Annihilation.
And Xavier Dolan is like my ultimate fave so I've been awaiting John F Donovan for a long time.


I hope Weightless isn't a total trainwreck. Cate and Rooney are in it.



But yes, overall Natalie does a pretty dreadful job at picking projects.

Ex Machina is incredible which is why I'm also really optimistic and excited about Annihilation.
Dolan is so hit and miss I don't know what to expect from him.
Weightless has been pushed so many times now I just lost all the hope I had for that film

I hope her second Oscar win gives her the courage to say no to ****** projects and be more careful while picking her future films.

Well she's not winning an Oscar this year. Maybe she can get that courage in a decade or two.

Conviction and Homesman are more acclaimed than 15 of the last 17 Portman films.

Swank had so much potential for a two-time BA winner especially in such short amount of time. I still don't know what happened to her career

Hopefully the Academy saves Portman's career this year and actually give it to the more deserving actress

How do you always walk into this trap, it is beyond me but they don't do that in the same way Oscars don't give the BP to non-SAG cast nominees. Here's to breaking traditions this year with Natalie winning in BA and La La Land winning in BP

That was their first year and you know it as well as I do.

Hmm Oscar winners John Legend and J.K. Simmons, as well as Emmy and SAG cast nominee Finn Wittrock were in the cast, despite their limited screen time they were not nobodies.

All reviewers said it is basically a two-hander. I am actually glad SAG nominated the real "ensemble" films. Would u really want to nominate La La Land instead of Hidden Figures, Fences, and Captain Fantastic ? Even Hell or High Water did not make it

No I wouldn't and I really loved the movie and its my favorite but I will bring this issue any time "No actress has ever won SAG twice" is brought up and I'm not sorry for that.
I would probably nominate it over Fences tho, cause I really don't like Denzel Washington at all

Natalie will never be viewed as Hilary in the history books, what kind of flop logic..She will always have Star Wars on her resume, and also Thor (and the ivy league reference, which is not relevant but everytime she has a show the host always brings it up, it def puts her above the mass ) .. combine those with 2 Best Actress Oscars Still mad that she won't do Ragnarok but during her last interview she hinted at a possible Avengers Infinity War role, she also said that for her acting wasn't always on the front burner. Actors need a great mix of commercial/cult following and critic success, the GP remember you for your commercial roles and the critics for your acting peak, the rest is useless.
