I read somewhere that the first album was supposed to be called Addiction. But they renamed it to Addition, hence +

I like the name divide tbh. What did you guys expect? Adele could stop the age thing at any time but Ed can't really do + and * and just abruptly stop without doing / and -.

At least there is no letter that looks like the divide sign cuz I still call his debut album "t" instead of "+" and sophomore album "x" instead of "*".
