Democrats could LITERALLY lose due to a group of barely ~100k voters across 3 states because they had an ego problem, didn't even VISIT one of the ****ing states, and an uninspired candidate, and that's ALL it takes for them to throw away ALL their morals and constituents in hopes of the mythical centrist.
A group who won the popular vote by almost 3M doesn't have any ****ing demographics issues.
It has a ****ing leadership issue and ours is blind career politicians lead by their own capital interests.
Literally 1 GOTV event in Detroit, visiting Wisconsin even ONCE, and having that damn Beyonce concert in PA would have handed her the election. Her & her team ****ed up. Quit the ****ing mental breakdown and the midlife crisis **** about needing to appeal to the ****ing KKK and put in actual work.
The same people who say "millennials don't vote!!" are the ones at the DNC who say putting in programs to advertise to millennials on social media since they don't even see TV ads is "a waste and stupid". Well, y'all wasted literally a billion dollars on Hillary, so maybe let's lose the establishment ego & let new, fresh blood in who respects the members (ie: POC, millennials) who will be the future of this party.
!!!!!
The party does not need to abandon it's core values to appeal to Christians, etc who don't support a majority of their issues anyways.
Dems need to focus on winning back blue collar voters but they also need to keep their focus on younger people. Hillary was not the right candidate to get young people out to vote or get them involved in the numbers she needed. Simple as that. Going centrist and continuing business as usual isn't going to to dems any favors going forward. These elections are base elections now. Hillary's biggest problem wasn't that she didn't attract enough moderate republicans, it's that a lot of younger and far left people went third party or didn't bother to show up because they didn't think she presented their values. She didn't excite an increasingly liberal base.
If republicans can run on their values and not bend, then why can't democrats?
And the reason Democrats didn't go to Bernie in the primary is that most of us are not far left and did not believe he could get his agenda passed.
It's called a democracy. You don't always get what you want. It's not a "my way or the highway" thing like the far left seems to believe. The funny thing is they're trying to push us, the vast majority, into the republican party by calling DINOs and neoliberals. That's how destructive the far left is. They really think they can lead the democratic party on their own.

Most of the country aren't far right like the GOP currently is, yet by listening to their base the GOP are running absolutely everything, and by choosing centrist candidates the Democrats are irrelevant.
There's also no point in pandering to them as a lot of them are single issue voters, particularly around unmovable topics such as abortion. So it would just make Dems unpopular with the base in exchange for little gain.

Hillary is no centrist. A centrist is someone like Tulsi Gabbard which the far left loves. Or, better yet, Elizabeth Warren who spent most of her life as a Reaganesque republican yet the far left loves.
You guys really think we don't have you figured out.

In the recording of a private conversation with campaign donors in February, Hillary Clinton distanced herself from progressive goals like “free college, free healthcare” and described her place on the political spectrum as spanning from the center-left to the center-right.
She told a group in Ohio: “You know, I get accused of being kind of moderate and center. I plead guilty.”

Pretty sure she was talking about her friends Al Qaeda and ISIS
Oh so it's no longer about free tuition and free college
Those quotes were from two different events. They were not one speech. They show multiple situations where she was describing herself as a centrist and center-left and center-right.

You're quoting an intercept article which is a far left website designed to spread *cough*Russian*cough* Snowden far left propaganda so of course they'd say that.

Quote:
CLINTON: It is important to recognize what’s going on in this election. Everybody who’s ever been in an election that I’m aware of is quite bewildered because there is a strain of, on the one hand, the kind of populist, nationalist, xenophobic, discriminatory kind of approach that we hear too much of from the Republican candidates. And on the other side, there’s just a deep desire to believe that we can have free college, free healthcare, that what we’ve done hasn’t gone far enough, and that we just need to, you know, go as far as, you know, Scandinavia, whatever that means, and half the people don’t know what that means, but it’s something that they deeply feel. So as a friend of mine said the other day, I am occupying from the center-left to the center-right. And I don’t have much company there. Because it is difficult when you’re running to be president, and you understand how hard the job is — I don’t want to overpromise. I don’t want to tell people things that I know we cannot do.
Same thing she said in the other speech. It's about working with a diverse congress to get things passed.

The good sis has no idea how to campaign. "I don't want to overpromise". Um when your opponent is saying he will make "all your dreams come true", you need to lift your game.

She didn't want to lie people. It's bad enough the media already chose her as the liar and now they're wondering "how do we cover Trump?" Lmao

Have you read Carl Bernstein's book on Hillary? Someone referenced it and I took a look. The intro about her childhood is quite interesting. I think it explains a lot about why she can be so evasive at times.
