Before Bill and Gore left the white house, they left Bush a document titled "Bin Laden to strike in America" that even mentions 9/11. He ignored it.

When that document was declassified in 2004, his numbers barely took a hit. It wasn't until the recession that Americans begand disliking him.

Actually, Bush really started to dip in public perception after Katrina. That was kinda the watershed moment.

I think before that, the country was too traumatized by 9/11 to think straight so everyone just rallied around USA and supporting the President.

They made all of our grades at elementary (I was in first) go out to the playground and had us all sit outside with red white and blue construction paper and make up the flag from an aerial view. What a bunch of brainwashing trash.

I've lived in Europe and am from there, so I got nationalism (which I ****ing hate with a passion in Europe too)

Baptist? I am assuming you are from the South
I lived in Florida
South Florida isn't horrific (I enjoy the Latin and heavy Cuban culture there) as well as central, but I know North Florida is disgustingly redneck

I live in Missouri, so I'm Midwest, but dip a little below the halfway mark and you are in what is essentially the South. We don't have a lot of hicks and most don't have a Southern accent. It's just a bunch of bible thumpers.. which is just as bad.

Northern Florida is terrible. Southern Florida is good though, we used to vacation there every couple of years.
