Why wouldn't they? They make movies about every other disaster/tragedy that's happened, and the subsequent manhunt in the days following the bombing (where they basically shut down the entire city) makes for an even more compelling narrative. That being said, I don't really have any interest in seeing it cuz I'm sure it'll be a bunch of jingoistic tripe.
