She was the most talked about individual t of the night that damn night at the Oscar's despite being a ****ing pop star. She was praised during the National Anthem this year as being 2nd only to Whitney Houston. 50 Superbowl National Anthems and she was 2nd to Whitney. Her Million Reasons performance on Carpool Karaoke was loved by the GP as was her VSFS performance. I know you like pulling tweets from the Navy or the Army to discredit her but she was praised across social media. Poor METH. The general public hardly perceives her as a musician. Your fave can only DREAM of being perceived as the vocalist Gaga is.
Anyone who doubted Lady Gaga's vocal chops heading into the Super Bowl 50 national anthem was (A) foolish to begin with and (B) proven completely wrong.
Gaga set herself up for a win in the days leading up to the big game, talking about how much of an honor it was to be chosen to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner."
You'd be hard pressed to find a negative review of Gaga's national anthem this morning (or, at least, one that's fair). Fans immediately praised the singer social media..
But let's be clear: The gold standard is Whitney Houston's 1991 performance during the Gulf War.

Many are saying the highlight of Super Bowl 50 was Lady Gaga’s incredible performance of the National Anthem before the game.
More so, many are comparing her performance to Whitney Houston’s rendition of the National Anthem in 1991 before the start of Super Bowl XXV in Tampa. It was so popular that Houston’s version was released as a single, and then re-released in 2001 after the September 11th attacks.
So we want to know, who sang it best? Whitney Houston or Lady Gaga?

Many on Twitter were taken enough to compare the performance to Whitney Houston's history-making performance in 1991. The fact is, no one is likely to ever compare to that performance. Even Gaga, who in a recent interview said she grew up singing along to Whitney's version, could admit that.
But, damn, that was good.

Some viewers started comparing Gaga's rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" to Whitney Houston's performance at Super Bowl XXV, 25 years ago. The late singer's national anthem has frequently been hailed as the greatest or one of the greatest of all time.

You lost. And Britney is still dead and probably forgot her kids at soccer practice.
It's a shame whitney couldn't sing live for her national anthem, she is a great vocalist. I guess not everyone can be on point all the time without prerecording like Godga, ah my fav
Your mom would slap you in the face if you told her "Gaga is a vocalist".
My mom bought Cheek to Cheek because she loves how Gaga sounds on jazz records. That's why C2C outsold Britney Jean and Glory combined because 1.2m other people felt the same.
