The meat eating debate is complex and not as black and white as many people like to believe. There are multitudes of factors involved; economic, cultural, educational, all of these and more affect the "morality" of eating meat.
There are also conflicting studies everywhere, some saying that humans evolved to eat meat and some say the opposite.
Some say that the cost of a vegetarian/vegan diet just is not feasible for a lot of people economically, while another study says that they are cheaper.
It's not as simple as many seem to believe. I don't believe eating meat is wrong, but I believe that people eat way too much of it. People do not need to eat as much meat as they currently do, to keep up with demand horrible things like battery farms are created.
Now Azealia, that bitch is not killing animals for her survival (to eat). She is doing it for stupid **** (that's obviously not working for her). You may not agree with meat eating, but there are levels to this. It's not the same as sacrifice.

You will not die if you don't eat meat. It's not a necessity for survival. You don't need a study to understand this. You're actually more likely to die if you do.
As for the pricing argument... while it's true that meat can be inexpensive, that's still a selfish need. Something had to die in order for you to indulge / have more.
It boils down to human selfishness no matter how you overcomplicate it. Besides, Azealia's a chef - for all we know she could be cooking & eating the animal afterwards.

I remember when Azealia and I met in HS back some time ago. I was a couple years younger than her and we only saw each other during one or two subject classes, 3 hours a week max. She was pretty shy, always in the back row, never let anyone interact with her. I remember that we had to do a presentation about different kinds of social issues and when the teacher approached her because it was Azealia's turn, she simply said "Be gone, a queen does not rest with mortals". The teacher seemed disturbed but comprehensive, so we all just assumed that the Azealia had already talked with him about skipping the presentation. She sat there for the rest of the class, taking notes. Sometimes, she would let out a little smirk and in the very next second, she would whisper "What are you smirking at? They are watching us".
I wasn't until April-May of that year that we got assigned groups to do a research project. Since I was a foreigner, I had trouble finding classmates to work with. The outcasts (in which I included myself) basically formed a group and Azealia, who was also left alone with no class group, joined in. She did pretty much all of the research, came up with the whole project and stuff. We would tell her "Azealia, do you need help with something?", "Azealia, is there anything the rest of us can do?". She would get aggresive. "How about I help you cross the line to the other kingdom of the dead dumb fat bitch", she said to Milagros, an overweight latin girl that also joined the group. The week before the deadline, we did a group meeting to review our work and prepare things to the final draft. She did not show up, didn't answer any messages.
The day we had to show the project to the jury, Azealia broke down laughing hysterically as we walked to the stage. Then she started screaming and throwing things. The professor took her out of the theatre. Next thing we know is that Azealia had told him that we didn't collaborate in our group sessions and that we had bullied her, throwing dead animals at her and forcing her to cleanse our demons out of her sanctuary every night.
We didn't pass the subject and also got expelled for two weeks. I had to repeat a whole year in HS because of this incident.

This is actually a pretty disgusting statement coming from someone that is obviously privileged. There are groups of people living on this planet who still need to hunt for survival. Not eating meat does not make you any better than them, and they certainly are not being selfish. They are doing it to survive. Do people need meat to live? No. Do some people need to hunt and eat meat to live? Yes.
And the idea that someone is selfish for living at the poverty level and buying meat because it's less expensive is gross. People need to eat, and they are going to eat what is available to them based on their resources, and I don't think we should pass judgment on them for that.
The concept of eating meat IS a more complicated issue than many vegans will ever admit. It's very much an issue that is only relevant to privileged populations.

I appreciate the intellectual contributions from members entertaining the two remaining tools defending Azealia's behavior, but it's really not worth your time trying to use logic against those that conflate that girl's ridiculous and disgusting actions to consuming meat.

So she's the real reason for the DWUW video not being released.
No, but I don't even want to think how violent she probably was with these chickens.

I think you think that I'm on the wrong side of the argument, love.
I completely agree with you. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of people saying this is any different than what the billions of meat eaters on the planet put animals through for their benefit.
And I am strictly referring to a privileged society in my statement, I admit I should've made that clearer. Still, survival is a selfishness if you wanna get that deep. Something dying for your life is selfish in itself. Obviously the reasoning & morals in any given situation will differ & some have a better reason than others, but it is intrinsic human nature to survive - the point is, the loss the animal suffers is a still a loss no matter how you spin it.
And AB is an animal lover. She has like a million pets. Those chickens probably lived more of a life than the ones y'all consume that are painfully debeaked & kept in dark crowded cages all their lives, never seeing the sun. Or the male chooks that are killed instantly because they serve no purpose.
Inset Xtina "that's just the way it is" gif.

Probably this. You can't live and have guests over at your apartment with a room that contains a thick layer of blood and animal parts for 3 years

It looked like a separate little closet where people would usually keep their vacuum cleaner, so it's not like anyone would notice. Plus, anyone who's real life friends with Azealia must be just as off the rocker as her, so I wouldn't be surprised at all. As for animal parts, I didn't see any, just a layer of crusty blood and feathers.
I don't know why y'all are surprised, there's people who live with corpses and mummified bodies and **** for years.
