Britney has a 360 deal, her label makes money from her vegas gig. Gaga doesnt have touring power like that

Her recording contract was up with Virgin Records after 20 YO, she wasn't dropped. It was a 5 album contract, similar but more lucrative to her contract with A&M. None of her albums did bad enough for her to get dropped, her albums sold better than most acts on Virgin outside of Tina Turner.

Her contract with Island/Def Jam is another story.

And with SPS, ANTI did 2.5 million (after the gifting of 1.47 million copies), has a 9-week #1 hit, and 8 Grammy nominations to go with it's general acclaim.

Dangerous woman has two top 10 hits, has over 1 billion streams, and is also acclaimed.

Joanna did NOT outperform those albums in the same time frame. The only reason she's done as much as she has is because of discounts (ANTI has NEVER been discounted, nor has any of its singles on US iTunes) and the fact that it is the 4th quarter, the busiest time of the year for sales.

Thats under the assumption that her superbowl performance will be so well received that it will entice people to buy her concert tickets. She isnt Beyonce. I dont know if that tactic will work for her. She isnt revered for her live performances like she used to be in the Pokerface days
