Tinashe is playing herself trying to be a bubblegum pop radio hit. She is kinda going beneath herself in a way by not staying true to her art. The huge global pop superstar model is actually quite rare. The girls (not just Tinashe, but the others too) are fooled into believing it can happen for them, but the truth is only a handful of women get to become huge pop icons for the masses. And we already have that handful.

There is nothing wrong with building a fanbase doing indie R&B and being a songwriter as long as you do it the right way. Look at Solange.

But at least Ciara was lucky enough to debut when urban WAS pop music so she got a #1 song and album out of it. Tinashe has nothing.

Miley is the Gaga's to Selena's Katy. Always front loaded and in-your-face causing the GP disgust and being forgotten as soon as her era ends, while the other is lowkey and irrelevant but has hits and longevity and the GP likes them.

Do you remember when Future was like he was supposed to work on most of Ciara (before they broke up) but she wanted to work with Dr. Luke instead

It's sad! But I'm glad my sis has become a full time model and has retired from being a musician.
