GFOTY _ CALL HIM A DOCTOR Going into this as someone who isn't particularly well-versed in PC Music means that I was skeptical, admittedly. But the opener "Mr.E" is a unique, twisted take on the pop-rock of the early/mid-00s that gets a massive upgrade thanks to GFOTY's autotuned distorted vocals. I think her take on this genre is pretty different. It tackles a weird part of nostalgia but flips it on its head. The album at its heart is spectacularly noisy, but thankfully has a different kind of leg to stand on. I often found myself imagining certain tracks (like Snakes + Ladders) sounding like the soundtrack to a teen movie from the 00s era and that made it even more enjoyable for me. The slower songs were probably my favourite though, they had a lot of dimension to them, and Wood U was my favourite example of this. Overall, its not an album I'd return to often, admittedly, but it was still a really unique listen and I actually liked the opportunity to expand my tastes! Overall score: 6.7

It was actually a stand out for me

It's cluttered, messy, the lyrics make no sense, there was a strange back-and-forth. It was bizarre, but I loved it. I sometimes really like pop music that is really out-there like that.
