She really has been making a fool of herself lately. But I also think there's something admirable in her refusal to age gracefully as other stars do that Camille doesn't want to acknowledge.
On the subject of Ariana, her ridiculous overreaction to some guy saying "I see you hitting that!" (she should have said "thanks babe, I'm right here" or something and moved the **** on) is pretty indicative of the little case of culture shock she's experiencing. She's an ultra sheltered, ultra spoiled rich white girl from a gated community in Florida who dates all these rappers (yes I know Mac Miller isn't from the hood or whatever), and now she finds herself directly exposed to urban black culture, where the insane coddling that rich white girls like Ariana experience doesn't really exist. Like Camille also said, young black and Latina women in the city know how to handle themselves when someone sends a compliment their way, even if it's in a loud and unsolicited manner. Spoiled rich white girls freak out when a peasant (no doubt what Ariana thought of this fan) talks to them.
