This is dumb. Using someone else's music and combining it with your own thoughts, input and production is just as impressive as actually coming up with it yourself. Sampling can be used terribly or brilliantly and Kanye's case is usually the latter.
Yeah but some categories like best rap solo performance and best rap duo performance have (he's won both multiple times) have since been retired coz they're so irrelevant.
