Circus BY FAR! I didn't pay attention to Pop music back then and even I remember all the talk about Britney's big comeback, the talk about the video where she was naked, etc. I don't think I've heard a single song from Lemonade on Radio and nobody I know has talking about or posted anything about the album then again I'm not from the US so maybe that's why

It was somewhat of a big deal in the U.S. during release week (not even close how Self-Titled was) but quickly died down the week after.

1) Adjusting for sales deflation, Lemonade is without a doubt more successful. Best selling album released in 2016, countless albums outsold circus in 2008, EVEN if you add its 2009 sales...tragic
2) LOL bringing her tour as if FWT didn't secure Beyonce as one of the most successful touring artists of all time.

The only thing Circus did better in was singles, none of which had any impact anyway.
