Let's remember that this white working class voted for Trump thinking he would bring back coal/industry/manufacturing, that he would not just stop migration but force migrants out of the country, that America would be safer, that America would be winning all over the world again and that the elite would no longer be in play. The fact that none of this will happen will surely depress turnout amongst those folks, and Democrats will not make the same mistakes in 2020 and will spend most of their campaign in those three states.
Unless Trump does something amazing with the economy (making up for the loss of support from his core of populists, xenophobes and people who think they're losing money by getting more support from moderates and the 'morality' kind of Christians) and/or there's a terrorist attack the weekend before election day, Trump won't win these states again. I think only Ohio and Iowa are forever lost.
On the other hand, there's chances for the Democrats to take Georgia and Arizona. It was pretty close this election tbh.
What the Democrats need is some kind of fresh energy. A smart and (relatively) young person with charisma, fresh ideas and that inspires you.
