I mean her last album wasn't really trash and it was (subjectively) her best.
And it was the only album that took her two years to make.

But I don't like counting the space between albums anyways, because an artist isn't going to immediately begin working on an album after their last one was released unless they're like Ariana or someone.
It's pretty darn clear she didn't begin working on this album until this summer when she got back to LA, and it's allegedly almost done (it's clear they're planning the tour, too), so like at this point they're just probably prepping the
surprise release.
