I think labels just don't know what the GP is looking for. You can have really well made and intricate videos like Focus, WFH, and STS do really well but also have minimalist videos like TIWYCF, Hotline, and Sorry do well for no reason at all.
I think what all these videos have in common is that they're colorful and visually stimulating, You can play them in the backdrop of a party and it wouldn't clash with the vibe.
yeah this doesn't make a lot of sense but then again I feel like the GP has changed in terms of what they prefer when it comes to music videos (e.g. the Closer lyric vid has over 800mil views and that's because the visuals are ~relatable and trendy~, not because they're K-Pop'd). they're so fickle
