There's no story, there's no beautiful cinematography, there's no concept, it feels forced and rushed...the list could go on and on.

I get what she was going for, and I expected it, but that was unsuccessful.
If you're going simple, it has to be minimal. If you're going raw/emotional, then it has to be touching. If you're going for behind-the-scenes, it has to be authentic or feel that way. If you're going for fashion vid, it has to look the part.
This was trying to do all the above but not achieving any in my eyes.
Start with her alone in desert. Show her entourage appearing to bring her back. Show her distracted from work and disinterested from everyone talking at her in the car. Same for when she's at the mirror. Getting dressed. See the gift and open it, it means something to her and now she can go on. End with her giving passionate performance/doing music video of MR.
Easy edit change with the same scenes/looks etc. and immediately becomes better.

If she replaced the scenes with her sitting in front of the mirror and getting hugged by those people with something that would explain why she ran off into the desert, then the video would be instantly better.

It's not that I want her using crazy outfit, dancing and appearing naked or something like that.
It could have been a video with good cinematography, beautiful shots and her singing with her guitar between roses or something like that.
This is just trash.
