I completely agree. I understand how someone can be agender and genderfuild but gender either has to exist in a binary or doesn't have to exist at all. They can't just say gender is a "social construct" and then create made-up genders with parameters. It's contradictory.

You're confusing gender with biological sex. Other animals act on the biological urges of their sex, whereas humans are expected to use their cognitive powers to choose to behave according to social rules of gender.

I think you mean sex. Sex is definitely a real thing and humans are born either male, female, or intersex. Not ifs, ands, or buts. People don't need to act on traditional gender roles if they don't want to but they can't expect to undo something that is universally taught to be as.

No I'm not Gender roles describes the roles that the sexes fill, and how they are different. But that doesn't make it any less biological than sex. Humans are driven by instinct, hormones and neurologically to behave a certain way inclined with their gender and sex. That's why we see "masculine" behaviors in men way more often than in women. This didn't just happen because we collectively decided on it as a culture. It's not something we consciously choose to do
