Tbh, I believe sexuality is a spectrum but I don't think it is anywhere near as wide or as open as Tumblr tries to make it. I agree that gender is a social construct but why make up a bunch of genders that will never catch on or be publicized? That being said if someone wants to identify as a plant, they aren't bothering me and I won't bother them.
That's true. But we shouldn't dismiss the social impact.
There are waaay more men wanting to work with children but don't do that because of reuptation and because it's socially not as accepted. (and because it's paid badly)
And that's where Feminism or Gender studies to that matter come to play.

But I agree with you socialisation can keep some people from working in a job they want just because it doesn't align with their traditional gender role and that's worth discussing but at the same time I feel like these people should just gain some confidence and do it.
I'm off the mindset that everyone is responsible for themselves and no one is entitled to feel all their choices validated by society at large in my eyes.

I completely agree. I understand how someone can be agender and genderfuild but gender either has to exist in a binary or doesn't have to exist at all. They can't just say gender is a "social construct" and then create made-up genders with parameters. It's contradictory.
