Nicki doesn't care about being artistic or edgy. She just takes a beat she likes and raps over it.

She's really a rapper that's all about the rapping (unless she sings) and not about production/hooks/samples, and I can appreciate that It'd be nice if she evolved as an artist though. (she already did a bit)

I disagree. She definitely cares about growing as an artist, she talks about it all the time.

Also, PLENTY of her songs have samples so to say she doesn't care about stuff like that isn't true.
