There’s something about this entry that feels a bit clunky to me. “You’re the only thing that I do know”, for instance. The “do” feels there to fulfill meter, and it’s not needed for the sentence to be grammatically correct. It’s a similar situation with “late again this time”, late again is sufficient, though I know that doesn’t work with the rhyme scheme. (Though I suppose if you drop “tonight” in the first line, it works) I do think you had an interesting take on the idea of flying, but it ultimately comes down to being the type of song I’ve seen before and nothing really makes it stand out.

nn, two songs that didn't stick out this season so far. Hopefully I can really improve in the coming weeks (if I make it through ). But yeah I can understand why you'd find it "clunky" with some lines.
