Funny because in the election thread you seemed to be aware that I'm not caught up in stereotypes and groupthink antics and it got you bothered.
I guess we are playing brand new in a new thread.
Carry on, Lord.

When Lemonade is announced the winner as AOTY
Poor Bey hater tears

I think the OBHs will just shade her for having 50-70+ people involved and using SJW movement and gimmicks and hype to achieve it.
then there's the usual: purchased grammy's politics argument.
I don't think the OBHs will run short of reasons to downplay it
Now if Bieber were to beat Adele and Beyonce...the LITERAL tears would be enough to create a river

The problem with Adele's campaign is it's all success based. She's talented sure, but the songs on the album are cookie cutter pop. 21 was much more soul and blues infused. It's like she decided to get more bland this go around when she should have headed more in the Amy direction.
Lemonade has success (obviously minuscule in comparison to 25, but still notable), acclaim, and probably the most important thing working in it's favor, a cultural narrative. It speaks to NOW more than ever. And combined with such an ambitious sound (rock/country/RnB/pop crossover), it's likely to stand out from the other pop albums w/ just success (Views, 25, Purpose).

For me,
25 had the potential to be an even bigger era.
She was just lazy
She could have started with Hello (competition) it's me then followed it up with Send my love to you non #1s (please feel beeeetter) then served botticelli sex goddess teas with I miss #1 then the era with sweetest devotion to #1, then lessers under the #1 and throw in a million my all's to go as a closer and she would have hype, artistry and success.
I feel like 25 was a limp noodle in terms of impact.
But I still think Hello, the sales and Hello, Send my love to you non #1s and Lessers under the #1 might just be enough
Adele is hard to gauge with these things.
