Oh! I'm not saying they're more recognizable. Girl, I'm a Mariah stan myself. I can do the same list.
But what I'm saying is that certain hits DO get forgotten as time goes on. No shade but no one remembers Mariah's cover of "I'll Be There" or "Make It Happen."
As for the Urban community, Mariah + Whitney have no songs that were released to Urban audiences that Mainstream audiences don't know. They were marketed as pop singers first where Beyoncé always had the crossover appeal since DC3.
Anyway, I live in the United States. No shade, but I don't really care (nor do I think any artist cares) how well their discography is known in Denmark or China when it's known in the biggest market.

NOBODY in the GP remembers ST songs sis. they bombed at radio in the first place. "Dance With You" "Get Me Bodied" and "Ego" too much.
The remembered Beyonce songs are CIL, SL and the DC catalog. Anything else is a desperate reach.

Get Me Bodied was the first song played when Obama won his presidency in 2012 and it's a club/urban classic. There are facts to this. Same with Ego & Dance For You. That's why I added the anecdote for the Urban community. Cause even though they flopped on pop radio, all 3 songs were urban smashes.
Beyonce doesn't only have 2 memorable songs and saying that is so dumb. Your friends probably know hella Beyoncé songs

I mean there are successful songs and then there are the legendary hits.
In my opinion the Beatles have the most classics with like 6-7 songs. Our main diva legends probably have 3-5 of such. If all those songs were timeless evergreens - as the Beyhive claims - then all successful singles must be alltime classics, but that's impossible bc we would drown in alltime classics and radio mostly play the same ole classic tunes constantly.
For Mariah I would say that those are her most important and remembered classics:
- Without You
- All I want for Christmas Is You
- Hero
For Whitney they are:
- I will always love you
- I wanna dance with somebody
- Greatest Love of all
both have several bubbling under hits - which are classics in certain regions.
Beyoncé probably has:
- Crazy in Love
- Single Ladies
Sales only play a minimum role in determining alltime evergreens. Its the impact that needs to be measured.
Madonna probably has:
- Vogue
- Like a Prayer
- Like a Virgin
- Live to Tell
- Papa don't Preach
+ some bubbling under hits...especially Music and Frozen
But I don't know anyone who has got 10 or more alltime evergreens.

LMAO I can tell you with complete certainty no one knows Live to Tell or Papa Don't Preach. I'm on ATRL and I've only heard those songs twice for rates.
The audacity to include those tired ass forgotten grandfather songs and then including TWO songs for Beyoncé. What is your polling demographic? 40+ adults? Everyone in our generation can name 5-10 Beyoncé songs and if you mentioned them, people would be familiar.
EVERYONE knows Halo. EVERYONE knows Irreplaceable. EVERYONE knows Drunk in Love.
The GP isn't filled with idiots. They all know and revere Beyoncé as a legend. Just because a song doesn't smash on radio and smash on sales, doesn't mean it isn't a big song.
