We do have to be cautious and as 6_INCH_HEELS said we should expect the worse. Beyoncé is basically the biggest star atm and yall know how the Grammys are shady anf petty af, not to mention that they love publicity. Snubbing her gave them massive publicity in 2015 and doing that nowadays (when she's even bigger) would cause a bigger mess. Giving AOTY to a white woman (Adele), an overprivilegied twat (Bieber) or some random white man again (Struggle Simpson or whatever) would cause a huge mess. Yall remembered what happened in 2015 on social media ? Just think about the stanwars, the meltdowns and amount of thinkpieces if her socially conscious album loses against a typical love album, mindless pop or another "realz" music country rock album

You know, I think the general consensus is, from a critical point of view, is that Lemonade is the best album nominated. Purely based on quality, it has scored far above the other albums in many ways. This is the popular opinion and indisputable. Subjectivity, from many on this site, hate on it because it's the most popular obvious choice and because it's Bey.

Knowing that the Grammys aren't always about the actual best, but sometimes the most popular or making a statement, being cautious and not too cocky or arrogant about any potential win is the best route.

We can say all day she deserves it. But we can't say with any certainty that she will win.

But like No Angel stated so eloquently "GIVE HER THINGS!" I'm 100% here for that.

Lemonade isn't as explicit as ST either. And I think the fact that it spans so many genres yet is still so cohesive will win her many votes. The fact that she even got nominated for Best Rock song speaks to how well this album is being received by voters. Plus the Grammy President's statements about her>>>
