I'm listening to Confident right now and her vocal performance on this album is truly incredible. Maybe the album itself doesn't have the quality of a Grammy-nominated album, but her vocals on it, absolutely.
I predicted Bieber for aoty cuz of the following, which I posted forever ago:
For this decade’s ceremonies, albums with multiple #1s – AOTY nominees?
Rihanna Yes
Black Eyed Peas Yes
Katy Perry Yes then No
Bruno Mars Yes then no
Taylor Yes
Adele Yes
Eminem Yes
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis Yes
Weeknd Yes
Gaga Yes
LMFAO No
Bieber ?
Hmm, 91% of them got one the first time they did it.
OK, most of the genre fields are actually decent / good now that I took a better look
It's just the main field and some pop categories that had me like "what?" Oh well, there's still at least one qualified person in even the problematic categories, so if that person wins, it's good. If they dare not to give Beyonce AOTY If Nick Cave, Bowie and Radiohead were there, I'd respect it, especially for Nick, but now...
