As it stands, Trump trounced Clinton 306 to 232 in the Electoral College.
About 50% of Trump's 306 are bound. All of them, though, are backing the President-elect. There was one elector who said he wouldn't vote Trump, but sadly, he has resigned from his position.
Clinton needs 38* electors to switch (not happening). Out of every Presidential election to date, there have only been 157 faithless electors (voted against who the voters in the state chose). 71 of those faithless electors were because their candidate died.
Never once have faithless electors swung an election.
The biggest thing securing a Trump presidency? A law passed in 1887 that would give Congress the power to pick the winner if there's a dispute over electoral votes. Congress is majority Republican & the odds of them chosing a Democrat over their own party is so slim you'd have better odds winning the Lottery
So, in conclusion, stay hopeful just to prolong your agony
Trump has won the Presidency.
