Gaga has a strong following sure but her only "hit" to date that didn't grow into a hit / benefit from promotion, visuals, radio, etc... was Born This Way (which in fairness still got Grammys and 60 minutes slots a week into release). Joanne's one of her most under-promoted eras to date as well so seeing that excuse is laughable, bitch didn't even perform her lead on TV. MR is getting a proper single treatment and a normal industry push, rightfully so. Songs are always played in commercials too but that doesn't automatically mean they'll soar back top 10. Every artist promotes, but not every artist see results.

The GP love MR, so I hope radio follow suit and makes the song grow even more.

A TV performance with a few million viewers that is only watched a single time is considered 'massive promo' yet Spotify payola and airplay (things MR doesn't have) get a song much more (and prolonged) exposure yet those are considered 'no promo'

That song was released in October. By January, it'll be time to move on to another single. Might as well not push it anymore. I doubt that even that would have helped it anyway.

Just because the song hasn't taken off yet doesn't mean that it won't take off. Tf are you talking about?

MR is giving the era a very much needed longevity. If the song takes off in Januarym it can go until March. That would mark 6 months since PI's release.

The ARTPOP era was dead 6 months after Applause's release

New songs tend to take off slowly with the Christmas freeze. And ballads in general don't race up POP radio. Meghan's Like I'm Gonna Lose You took 2 months after the adds date just to enter the top 40 Pop, and that didn't even need to deal with the Christmas freeze. It still ended up being a huge hit. With your logic they should've given up on it before it even started

i still believe in Bobby, i will admit it i lost faith in him during ComeToMama/Election phase, but now with all this timely placed promo i think he got it.
I am still hoping spotify and radio payola will come through once christmas songs have died.

and he is clearly aiming for longevity, this may not have high peak but i think this will last longer on charts than other singles of her released this decade
