Yes because talent is much more than being able to sing.
I personally think that the only thing a recording artist is required to do is sing on a mic in a studio, but that doesn't make them as musically talented as someone else who can also write songs and play instruments.
Lana del Rey can't sing live to save her life, but no one can say she's not talented musically.
