As a start-to-finish listen, Unbreakable is definitely above All For You. I even put Damita Jo ahead of it. Which was the first album she released after I became a fan so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

Yeah, AFY makes for a cute listen but a lot of the songs can just drag on and on. I honestly think DJ is a great album with only a few duds, she sacrificed her career to sexually liberate America

Damita Jo could have had at least five singles with moderate success on the charts. Just A Little While, All Nite, R&B Junkie, I Want You, and maybe My Baby or SloLove. Or both.

The more years I spend with 20 Y.O., the more I'm willing (able) to hear its potential, especially in the second half and on the bonus tracks. From Daybreak onward the album flies. I've never been clear on who co-wrote and produced the bonus tracks but they're better than quite a few of the standard cuts.

Also, no Janet Jackson album should be below 65 minutes, in my opinion.

I feel EXACTLY the same re; 40YO. It has mostly aged well (as opposed to its successor) because of the classic JJTL songs. Her vocals needs work, and some of the lyrics are pretty cringe, but it's nice and sort of like IASF with the clearly divided "sides."

I really love the Windows Movie Maker effects on the bottom left one.

Actually, I submitted a cover for this album at the time I remember, I'd just gotten home from the Taste The contest had been launched that day or the day before and a friend of mine was making a cover and he didn't even like Janet Mine wasn't very good in retrospect but of course I thought it was a shoe-in.

You think I have an album cover that I made ten years and about four different computers ago?

It was basically a line of small photos on the top and on the bottom, with three large ones in the middle. I could do So Much Betta now.

My friend used Papyrus as his font though, so he wasn't doing that hot either.

I've been having a Janet week, and my reflections have leaned most toward 20 Y.O. This year has been a rehabilitating one for a lot of albums from my faves that I never really into. It's hard to say what that will ultimately mean for this album, other than to say I'm more open to what it does have to offer, rather than closed off because it wasn't what I envisioned at the time of its release.
