Lacking the cuteness of Aron or the monstrousness of Aggron, it's the awkward middle stage! Lairon is a decent one though, there's nothing explicitly wrong with her... she's just not as good as her relatives for me. Still a very high score from me though. I usually settled for her because I was too lazy to train her up another 10 levels for Aggron. She looks a lot better in the sprites here than she does most of the time though.
Phresh hates her evolutions but stans for her, "trample me daddy, a rose between 2 thorns". A more themed analogy would be between rock and a hard place...
