Why you gotta ruin a good thing?
Can't we take it back to the start?
If love's not playing out like the movies,
That doesn't mean it's falling apart.
Don't panic.

LMAO I just wrote the lyrics for the instrumental I posted a handful of pages back. They're sooooo bad BUT they're also so perfect for what I want. There's only like 40 distinct words. It repeats so much that it's just going to be impossibly catchy. The whole thing is like the epitome of a basic pop song and I'm in love with it. It's totally different from what I normally do. No weird lines about methanol drunks or houses of cartoons here!

Ugh, that xylophone intro is electrifying, I get PISSED when Spotify glitches and skips it on the Deluxe version (weirdest thing ever)

I've always wanted to improve my songwriting skills but I find it so hard to concentrate on it because I'm such a perfectionist so I always just end up quitting and listening to music that's already been written instead
GVUHBJ legit me
If I ever get stuck I just listen to the best songs I know (WOA for instance) and trying to get inspiration from that; get mad that I can't write good; throw a cat; and then brainstorming ideas

my potential lyrics for that were so basic too so i didn't even say anything
Let me take a minute, cuz some credit's due
To the type of man who's word is always true
He's the kind of guy who's woman is his world
You never hear about him with another girl
Don't misundertand that kind of man, don't listen to rumors
You're looking at her looking at him, he's looking at you, girl
And nobody's past, doesn't have dirt, keep those who deserve it
Believe me, he's worth it
You heard me, he's worth it
You know he'll have you singing:
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
Yes is he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
He's a mighty good man
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
Yes he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
He's a mighty, mighty, good man
Brain just like a doctor
Come through with that shocker
New car when you see him
Ex-flames wish that they could be him
Never corny, never boring, got game like a Don Juan
Even in a sweatshirt and some jeans that boy's a dapper don, woo!
Says he loves you, never not you
Always hits in the right spot, you
Look at other guys you had, they're
"Not like that"
"Not like this"
"Not like that"
And now he got you screaming:
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
Yes is he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
He's a mighty good man
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
Yes he is
What a man, what a man, what a man
What a mighty good man
He's a mighty, mighty, good man

You never hear about him with another girl
Don't misundertand that kind of man, don't listen to rumors
You're looking at her looking at him, he's looking at you, girl
He's a lover, and a fighter
Every whisper
Every last word, every last touch
Leaving you breathless
Giving you goosebumps
