i said this in dub track before but it think sometimes y'all overrate the importance of a "concept". like, you can easily just channel an portray an emotion in a song without needing any story and do it beautifully

I think having a concept is a good way to keep a song focused and can lead to a lot of creativity.

Now, obviously this isn't for everyone, but I did suggest it to a few people (in my critiques), and I'm probably going to suggest it to more people.

have u seen some of these concepts though the girls will be like "okay my song is about a couple getting a divorce but it isn't mentioned anywhere in the song its actually represented by a window and the plot twist is it isn't actually a window its a bowl and the writer is actually a goldfish who in a past life was a human and the song is all about this goldfish's memories of it's past life as a human when he had a heart attack after he found out he was getting a divorce. i'm shocked y'all didn't realise, it was so clear"
