Anyone think Roy Cooper is a viable option for the future?
EDIT: OMG North Carolina has voted once since 1990 for a Republican candidate for Governor (McCrory in 2012). Slay a biT NC!

Honestly, yes. Cause he kinda was the perfect storm. He had every characteristic of a "good" leader. Educated, likable, ~cool, kind of attractive, and personable. Even his voice has the perfect tone and delivers with the right cadence.
I think we just kind of expected all our next candidates to easily fit that mold.

It's interesting to see how far left, center, or right I'll go moving forward.

regardless of this incoming shitstorm it will definitely be interesting to see how thing progress. I want to see if this polarization left/right continues, if Democrats will have their own Tea Party movement, and if we seriously fail to produce a great candidate that isn't Hillary or Bernie in 2.5 years.
It would also be wild to see Trump's miraculously succeed but I'm not expecting that based on what we know. I'm not sure how politics of fear/hate is going to play out positive in this political era.

We deserve to fall. Everything that can go wrong -- i want to happen. Great depression, war, nuclear meltdown, terrorist attacks, loss of allies, assassination attempts, starving, riots, impeachment trials, more leaked tapes, taking away rights, etc.

Washington: Unemplyment rate peak after the recession: 10.4% but had 6.77M people
14th largest economy in the country
Washington is the leading producer of hydroelectric power in the U.S. Hydroelectricity makes up over half of electricity state's electric generation and nearly 35% of its total energy consumption
Home of Bill Gates
$57,835 median income (12th largest)
Hillary vote: 54.3% Trump vote: 38.07%
Oregon: Unemployment rate peak after the recession: 10.4% but had 3.87M people
26th largest economy in the country
During the 1990s and 2000s, Oregon has attempted to transition its economy from one based on natural resources to one based on a mix of manufacturing, services, and high technology.
$46,816 median income (29th largest )
Hillary vote: 49.8% Trump vote: 38.3%
I think Washington for the win!

d. A depression will literally FORCE the US government into inducing war. Y'all don't know your government. If the US goes down, they're gonna try to take the entire world with them. Especially since that's the Republican mindset.
