This is such a difficult song because I could either make it a depressing song about disillusionment and hopelessness, or I could make it a less depressing song about being disillusioned, but finding the hope to carry on. I don't know what this song wants to be.
My songs tend to be long so I'm having trouble with this challenge. Also I tend to use a lot of metaphors in my song and the language I'm using on this one is pretty simple. I don't know how I feel about it yet, but I think this is the perfect round to take a risk
The first couple rounds have massive cuts but that's because so many people sign up. However don't let that worry you. After that, only a couple people per round go. But this time, everyone has a chance to comeback when they want to (before the top 12) so thats cool
Now I'm really afraid of what I wrote. I did write it in 15 minutes and sent it. Now I'm reading about all that polishing and writing to the music. Praying for debuting in top 50 actually now.
Wrote mine in literally about 5 minutes to some simple beat I made in about 10 then recorded, mixed and mastered it all in around 30 minutes. I have a busy life <3
