TTH playlists is adding followers at a more rapid rate than before. It's importance is only going to get accentuated further. And more people will fight to get in that 50. There should a rule that no single artist should have more than 2 tracks in it. And no track should be there more than 2 months. Or eventually they will increase it to 100 songs.

I think YT's music insights/charts page includes videos with song content ID's in their #s… but they don't separate it from the official MV's views.

Were popular playlists like TTH always there before too? If not when did they become a thing?
Did Diamonds, Roar, Royals and other hits that came out before Spotify became super huge and it's importance started matter on the charts gain all those 200m+ streams on their own?
Because I don't quite understand how a song that is slaying on the radio and iTunes can't become huge on Spotify without playlists
